CNC STATION MOLDS .C. cut TATION MOLDS.

For shipping purposes, the molds are laid and wrapped on a skid/pallet with the total weight being 175 pounds (80 kilos). These cannot be shipped by a conventional courier such as UPS. They must travel by truck if being shipped. For those picking them up, they will lay flat in a truck or van. Accurately cut from 5/8" composite board they come complete with: inscribed vertical mid line, 4 inch waterline for reference, station number, floors lines, tab and slots cut out for assembly of bow stem and transom support and alignment.Clamping holes cut in various locations.

 

NEW-November 2009-These moulds now include a full size transom template;will save

time when laying out and cutting out the actual transom.

INDIVIDUAL PARTS made of WOOD

 

Red Cedar Strips -80-(bead and cove edges)

Shipping tubes, if necessary, $28.00.

These strips are CLEAR, full length, vertical grain (appreciated most when you start to plane and sand the hull!) -  ¼" thick x 13/16 "high x 16 to 17' long. As each planed plank was ripped into strips, all were bundled together so the builder can match colour and grain pattern to his/her liking. 

Easily carried atop a car, van or truck. Truck shipping out of our shop in a thick walled cardboard tube.

Steam bend your own: 8 milled pieces, planed both faces:a combination of air dried

white ash (outer layers) and air dried white cedar (inner layers)

TRANSOM KIT

The KIT has either 3 or 4 sections (4 shown below) planed two faces and jointed along connecting edges. The biscuit slots are cut and the biscuits are included. You do the glueing,clamping,cut out and router work.

STEM BAND STOCK

3/8" wide, half oval in shape, very malleable -this group has:

1 x 48" for the bow end--1 x 24" stern end--2 x 9" foot stretchers

BOW EYE this chromed steel piece measures 3/8" x 3" and has generous eye opening;

it is particularly useful if the Whitehall will be trailered and/or tied to a dock.

FLOORBOARD CLIPS (22)

stamped brass (with 3/4 " #6 round head brass screws);

these clips hold the floorboards to the floors.

MOORING CLEATS (2) brass 3" or 4"long--these are mounted to the aft corner knees;

they are useful if the boat is to be tied to a dock or post while the rowers are absent.

ROWLOCK SOCKETS ( in pairs) brass

these heavy duty sockets are edge (sometimes called 'corner') mounted with screws running vertically and horizontally into the outwale. If your WHITEHALL will have 2 rowing stations, then two pair will be required,

ROWLOCK HORNS ( in pairs) brass

These are the parts which actually support the oars when rowing is under way. To prevent the horns from 'jumping' out of the sockets, obtain a stainless steel split ring key holder and insert in the small hole at the base of the shaft.
